Rod took this picture on an early morning bike ride along Kelly Drive last fall. See my process of creating the background, coaxing painted cheesecloth into tree shapes on a piece of Dura-lar. The elements are pinned on and will be stitched with monofilament thread next. The rest of the stonework and shadows will be created with paint and thread.
