The mystical Luna moth captured in this art quilt represents rebirth and new beginnings.

I happened onto a beautiful Luna moth one day as I was in the midst of preparing for us relocating to a new home and new chapter in our lives.  It felt providential to see this lovely moth greeting me at the door and I just had to make an art quilt to represent this new change in our life.  Luna moths represent a continuing quest for truth and knowledge, gift of intuition, and heightened awareness.

Mint Luna is a posterized version of the moth on a dark mint gradation background.

Teal Luna is the original moth on a dark teal gradation background

The image I took has been digitally altered and then printed onto silk.

This small quilt is mounted onto black painted stretched canvas and is ready to hang.
