Description
This art quilt made me think of Robert Frost’s “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening”.
The angular branches in the “window” remind me of partially fallen limbs of trees leaning this way and that in a winter wooded landscape. The values of colors used run from dark to light as the eye moves from outer edge toward the inner window create visual depth.
The colors are deep navy blue, medium slate blue and pale blue. The shibori dyed section of diagonal wavy lines suggest shadows or a water feature.
16″x12″
There is a hanging sleeve and embroidered signature on the back.
